SALES AGREEMENT and HEALTH GUARANTEE

is sold for the purpose of: _____________________________________ and both the PURCHASER and SELLER agree to the following:

HEALTH – Your Kitten is presented in good health, free of external & internal parasites and infectious diseases. It is recommended you take the kitten to your own Vet within 7 days of purchase (at your own expense) for a general checkup and to provide it’s health records. Should your Vet feel the kitten is not in good health and provides documentation of such, the kitten may be returned (at the seller’s expense) for a full refund of the purchase price. Within 5 years of sale of a kitten, the Seller will provide a replacement should death occur from other than natural or accidental causes - contingent on proof that the cause of death is genetic or hereditary in nature. A copy of the autopsy and a Veterinarian's certificate (to be verified by Seller's own Veterinarian) will be necessary to support any claim. Death from other than a genetic or hereditary nature cannot be the responsibility of the Seller once this animal leaves the cattery and is exposed to existing or visiting pets. All guarantees are voided if this kitten is vaccinated in any way for the FIP virus; until such time as scientific studies prove this vaccine to be effective and not harmful.

The Purchaser will provide proper training, a suitable scratching post and the necessary nail clipping in an effort to train the cat ; this animal MAY NOT be declawed without first consulting with the Seller. Adequate indoor facilities must be provided for the life of the cat and it will not be allowed to roam outdoors or on balconies unsupervised; otherwise all guarantees are voided. Under no circumstances will this animal be sold, leased or given to any pet shop, humane society, animal shelter, research facility or laboratory.

Pedigree documents will be provided at the time of sale. The CFA Registration slip will be provided if on hand at the time of sale and if not, once received back from CFA (normally within 30 days). “Pet” kittens will be marked as “not for breeding”.

When this cat/kitten is sold as a PET, the Purchaser will NOT BREED OR SHOW it without permission of the Seller as it may not suitable for these purposes. Some kittens may be of a quality to be shown in the “Premiership” class at shows and if that is the case the Purchaser is welcome to do so! The Purchaser agrees to have it altered by the age of 8 months (unless delay is recommended by a Veterinarian). The Seller must be provided with a Veterinarian's certificate of Castration or Ovariohysterectomy as proof of altering. If by later agreement this cat is given breeding rights, then a further payment and new contract terms will be negotiated. The Seller reserves the right to repossess this cat in the event the Purchaser fails or refuses to comply with these terms.

This kitten has been provided with a Health Record indicating the dates and vaccinations provided. This should be communicated to your own Vet and a regular schedule of veterinary care established. The Purchaser agrees to provide this veterinary care and emergency medication when necessary for the life of this cat.

Other Conditions:

Return Policy - Should this cat/kitten be incompatible (due to allergies or conflict with existing pets), it may be returned (in good physical health) within 21 days for a 2/3 refund - return shipping (if applicable) at the Purchaser’s expense. Once this cat is away from the Seller's cattery for more than 21 days, it must be returned accompanied by a signed Veterinarian's certificate of health. After 21 days, the Seller will refund 50% of the purchase price. VALID for the first 3 months following the sale. In the event the Purchaser can no longer keep this cat following the first 3 months of sale, the Seller has first right of purchase provided the price does not exceed 1/3 of the original purchase price and the cat is accompanied by a signed Veterinarian’s certificate of health.
